Voter Registration for High School Students
The LWVOR Civic Education Steering Committee is pleased to announce that our High School Voter Registration Pilot Project is now underway. This project is aimed at facilitating voter registration drives for 17 and 18 year old high school students who will be voting for the first time in either the 2008 Primary or General Elections. The following materials are now available:
- Now That You’re A Voter, a one-page handout with basic voting information for newly registered young voters.
- Voter Registration 101, a one-page guide with details about registration and voting requirements as well as helpful tips for coordinators of high school voter registration drives.
Online voter registration forms are available. Quantities of up to 200 forms can be obtained at your county elections office. For more information about this project, please email us at lwvor@lwvor.org.
