Annabel Kitzhaber Education Endowment Fund

The Annabel Kitzhaber Education Endowment Fund, named for League member Annabel Kitzhaber and managed by the Oregon Community Foundation, earns interest to help carry out the mission of the League of Women Voters of Oregon Education Fund.

Projects supported by the Endowment Fund include:

• Providing Oregon citizens with unbiased information on which to base their voting decisions through the Voters’ Guide , forums and Internet information on candidates and issues.
• Expanding our voter information material to include an audio version and the Easy-To-Read Voting Guide in both Spanish and English.
• Educating students about the election process through the Mock Election program
• Studying important governmental issues and distributing this information across the state, so that our citizens can confidently and knowledgeably interact with their legislators and other government officials.

The Annabel Kitzhaber Education Endowment Fund provides long-term financial support for these programs. With the oversight of the Oregon Community Foundation, these funds are wisely invested on the League’s behalf. The interest is available to be used by the League’s Education Fund each year, while the principle is left to continue to grow and support our work in the future.

To donate to the Annabel Kitzhaber Education Endowment Fund, checks may be mailed to LWVOR and made out to LWVOREF Endowment Fund.
