Excitement is brewing with our new national partnership between Girl Scouts and the League of Women Voters. The Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington (GSOSW.org) and LWVOR are collaborating to promote leadership and democracy.
Together we will build relationships with Girl Scouts who can earn Citizen and Democracy badges and much more!
Collaborative Activities
LWVOR facilitates local League, Girl Scout troop, and Girl Scout Service Units collaborative activities:
Oregon Student Mock Election, Vote411, and Youth Council
Join in candidate forums, voter registration drives, legislative action days
Support Girl Scouts and troop leaders in their civics education and service projects
Mentor Girl Scout Gold, Silver and Bronze Award projects
Offer civics leadership experiences at Girl Scout STEM Day, Changemaker Cafe and Girl Scout Camps
Collaborate with VOTE411 and the GSUSA Promote the Vote Campaign
